Looking up Gondry, I see he directed "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," a movie I loved but didn't automatically associate with his name. I think of it as the work of writer/producer Charlie Kaufman, creator of a series of strange, brilliant, and unclassifiable movies.
