Gurren is entertaining so far, mostly because it's just -so- over the top; the writers saying "screw the rules, we just want to do something cool." (Think of mecha action along the same lines as FLCL, with extra testosterone.) Had an unfortunate case of guest-directoritis in ep 4, which really screwed with the character designs, but it settled down.

I just don't know about Murder Princess. It looks like something that could go really well or really poorly, depending on which way they take the plot, and only airing one episode a month isn't helping things.

don't know why I dropped Gurren-Lagann. It's a show which has everything going for it, and obviously creators strived for a milestone of the genre. The poor storyboard of it subsided quite a bit into ep.4.

"According to historical costumers, a properly-fitted corset is quite comfortable." Well, that depends on the period. Elizabethan corsets are just fine. Victorian corsets range from reasonable to hellish, and today's fetish corsetry seems to be modeled on the extreme of the latter. I suspect that the anime creators, in this case, are probably more familiar with the last type than the first.
